After many months of research and drafts, it’s finally time for the final editing of my fifth novel in the Zachary Blake Legal Thriller series, Betrayal High!
Editing is a truly incredible experience. I always find it fulfilling to see a rough first draft turn into a much improved final product. If you’re an author, pull out your first draft of any of your novels. Read a chapter or two. Then, read the same chapter(s) of your current work in progress or the final product. If you are like me, you'll be impressed at how far you’ve come.
What if you are working on your first novel? Are you stuck? My advice is – Don’t Give Up! Keep writing; keep learning, and focus on what drives your passion. At the end of your journey, you’ll be glad you stuck with the project. Remember, every book you see on the bestseller list was once a less-than-acceptable first draft.
