I am relatively new at novel-writing. I have tried to write legal thriller novels that deal with some of the serious legal issues facing real Americans in today's troubling times. My legal thriller novels (The Zachary Blake Betrayal series) have tackled ripped-from-the-headlines topics such as clergy abuse, immigration reform, white supremacy, religious discrimination, false imprisonment and domestic terrorism. Each novel is intended to provide suspense and excitement at every turn, while delivering a compelling narrative that weaves elements of fiction with modern legal, social and political issues.

Betrayal of Faith is what I would call “reality fiction.” It touches on the cover-up and conspiracy of silence in clergy abuse cases and is loosely based on a high-profile case that I handled in the mid-1980s. The novel exemplifies all that is powerful, painful, and necessary about conversations of sexual abuse.
Betrayal of Justice was my reaction to the possibility that America might elect an Islamaphobic bigot to the highest office in the land. A fictional POTUS seeks to 'make America pure again’ and ban all Muslim immigration. The novel tackles current immigration issues and commingles them with prejudice and strikingly realistic political corruption. Hopefully, both legal and political thriller fans will enjoy the novel.
